... yet another one of those Bitchy Demonic Man-Child Dissatisfactions

Someone once said to me...

"It is impossible to be friends with someone you've had sexual relations with."

Is this true? Or at least partially true?

Is is possible that, in the days when we were amorous and we thought the love was forever... you thought even if things ended, relations would be amicable and a friendship would spring up in place. But then... love faded and relations soured, and those feelings that brewed up and rooted deep took a turn for the worse. Passions remain, but for the worse. Amorous feelings became hateful, things that were admirable about the person now contribute to flashes of uncontrollable jealousy, and you - bitter, contradictory and dissatisfied - try to pick apart my life with criticisms, insensitive comments and back-stabbing complaints?

Is it impossible really, for one person to be genuinely happy for someone they were once romantically involved with? Why is it achievable for some, and not for others? Is 'winning' really so important? Is being a 'clear winner' in the ladder of social advancement really the benchmark for successes in life? Is competition really necessary when you're the only one playing this twisted game?

Another thought.

Women are bitches but men are children.

Correction: SOME men are children... sometimes.

Social Phenomenon: The (Sometimes) Man-Child

Whilst they proclaim their grandiose ideas of love from rooftops, and lavish showers of floral decorations and materialistic satisfactions upon their loves... they fall short at the most important times. Disappointment seems to be the domain for their women, whilst the men are self-righteous in their anger and inconsolable in their injuries. Cuddles, kisses and honeyed words are nothing short of expected, as is cleaning, cooking and doing the laundry.

The Man-Child must be nurtured, cuddled, cared for and nursed. Tantrums are likely and sudden, mood-swings are dramatic and hurtful, and the accountability for the consequences is non-existent. Fighting with the Man-Child is likely to result in tears... on your own behalf. Not only from the shock and the general trauma of the unpredictability of the entire 'fight', but also from the general frustration and inability to understand how you could possibly resolve such a situation... unless you throw away your own self-virtue and sense of pride.

In the mean-time, why don't you just go and wash some dishes and submit to the alpha-male dominance that the Man-Child cannot help but impose on those around him?

(I guess it would help to remember their child-like qualities is why you love them so.)
